Born and raised on the Southern Shore of Newfoundland and Labrador, Dr. Johnson brings a wealth of knowledge and experience to our hospital.

Dr. Johnson’s journey in veterinary medicine began at the Atlantic Veterinary College at the University of Prince Edward Island, where she graduated in 2016 as a multi-scholarship winner.

Following her graduation, Dr. Johnson embarked on a unique professional journey, gaining global experience in regulatory aquaculture. Over the past five years, Dr. Johnson has dedicated her full-time efforts to working with companion animals, specifically dogs and cats. Her work has earned her a stellar reputation within the veterinary community, as she has consistently gone above and beyond to ensure the well-being of her patients.

Dr. Johnson’s special interests lie in urgent care and surgery, areas in which she has honed her skills and gained extensive experience. She approaches every challenge with a combination of expertise and empathy, ensuring the best possible outcome for her patients.

Outside of her professional endeavors, Dr. Johnson cherishes her role as a mom and wife. She resides on the Southern Shore with her very active 7 year old daughter, Ivy, her husband Darcy, and two senior German Shorthaired Pointers, Ollie and Abby.
