The most rewarding aspect of my job is helping patients through the difficult anesthesia cases. Ensuring they have the safest and as pain free as possible procedures.
-

Serious Questions

How do you stay updated with the latest developments in veterinary care?
I stay updated with the latest developments in veterinary care by completing extensive amounts of continuing education per year. As a registered veterinary technician, we are required by the licensing board to complete 15 hours of CE per year, I average about 45-50 hours per year. I do this as I love to learn the new and safest way to continuously care for our patients. My passion is analgesia and anesthesia so I tend to learn as much as I can in that field.

What advice would you give to pet owners to help ensure their pets lead healthy lives?
My advice that I would give to pet owners to ensure their pets lead healthy lives would be to invest in pet insurance. It ensures that owners can give their pets the best care when those unexpected accidents or illnesses happen. Insurance gives owners the peace of mind to be able to make those difficult decisions with ease.
