EXAM ROOM MANAGER
Chances are, if you’ve been here at CBS Animal Hospital before, you’ve already been wowed by our friendliest staff member, Oliver! This wonderful ERM has a heart of gold and loves being able to help our clients get the most out of every single visit to our clinic. Since graduating the Veterinary Assistant program and joining our team in 2019, Oliver has proven time and again that he’s always ready to go the extra mile for every single patient.
A lover of creatures large and small, Oliver is the guy to turn to for all plant-based (and insect-based) questions – seriously, he’s a walking encyclopedia! He shares his home with his fiance and a small army of pets, including three dogs, two cats, and one very feisty rabbit! Be sure to ask Oliver about our clinic catnip plants if you see him around! He might even be able to find your feline friend a few leafs!
Fun Questions
-
What's your favorite animal and why?
Ravens and crows, because of their scientifically proven emotional rituals and tendencies. Seen in recent research it has also been shown that crows are known to hold “funerals” and “wakes.” When an American Crow finds the dead body of another crow, it will call out to alert others in the area, who will gather and call out. Showing us again, that animals and humans share more similarities than we realize.
-
If you could communicate with animals, what's the first thing you'd ask them?
Is there something we should be doing as humans to help you, that we aren’t?
-
What's the most rewarding aspect of your job?
Knowing that you helped something that couldn’t ask for help.
Serious Questions
-
What advice would you give to pet owners to ensure their pets lead healthy lives?
Don’t take your breeders advice over your veterinarians. Your vet stays up to date on science-based studies and information to keep your pets healthy, following a very extensive schooling experience, and will always hold your pet’s life as their main focus and priority.
-
What advice would you give to pet owners to ensure their pets lead healthy lives?
I always encourage owners to stay curious, don’t be afraid to ask questions and show willingness to learn tips and tricks that could benefit the quality and longevity of your pet’s life. Staying up to date on annual examinations will help your veterinary team locate possible ailments that may be missed without the proper knowledge and investigation.
